      Needle size depends on the yarn. I suggest you find your decired yarn and choose the needle size that is suggested on the skein of yarn 🙂

      But just for reference:
      – using needles LARGER than the suggested size on the skein will give you a LESS dense/close-knit fabric. Depending on your pattern it might also make more holes or just bigger holes.

      -Using needles SMALLER than the suggested size on the skein will give you a MORE dense/close-knit fabric. I believe that is what was done to the piece of knitting on the picture above – thick yarn and smaller needles to make it chunky.
